Bio ethanol production by Nivoba
Nibvoba has over 120 years experience in several areas. One of these areas is bio ethanol production. Nivoba applies the non-cooking process for the production of bioethanol from feed stocks, such as wheat, rye, cassava (tapioca), sweet potato, sorghum and barley.
The non-cooking process differs from the conventional process in the use of special enzymes. These enzymes are very effective in hydrolysing non-cooked starch. They also have synergistic effects on granular starch, as saccharification and fermentation are a simultaneous step in the process. The main advantages can be summarized by explaining the non-cooking process as a relatively short process at low temperatures that produces a higher percentage of alcohol and less water.
